16/07/2022Miško is about four years old and he came to the shelter last Christmas.
Just to be clear – there aren’t any nice ways for a dog to come to the shelter, but Miško’s is really horrible. He was brought by his people and told us that they had to get rid of him because the neighbours would sue them. Miško was chained. Next-door children threw rocks at him for days. Once, when Miško was unchained, he ran at the children that had tortured him. The neighbours sued the owners who didn’t want any further problems and then Miško ended up at Žarkovica.
We immediately understood that, behind that cute yellow nose and sad eyes, there was a much more difficult story. Miško is a cheerful dog, but he is impulsive. He is never aggressive, but unforeseen situations will make him overreact. Miško needs people who will work with him, help him forget the ugly past and let him get used to hands that will cuddle him, and not punish him.
Miško has been neutered, he is a smaller-size male, he gets along nicely with female dogs and he has been leash-trained.
Miško deserves a second chance.
