Chavela

When we first saw her, she reminded us of Chavela Vargas who uses her powerful voice to cry over the love she lost. Our four-legged Chavela, possibly a four-year-old, also knows a lot about lost love, about the unhappy lives she lived and if she could, she would sing us a song about an adoption, a warm loving home and the hope that one say a human figure will kneel next to her and tell her: “Enough with the sad songs already, I’m taking you to your new home.” She hopes to find the only thing she’s dreaming of – true love.
